The National Civil Aviation Administration (ANAC) of Argentina, through Resolutions 76/2025 and 77/2025 published in the Official Gazette, introduced significant changes to the regulation and internal organization of the aeronautical sector in Argentina. These measures aim to modernize processes, align national regulations with international standards, and optimize the agency's internal management.

Resolution 76/2025: New regulation for accident investigations

Resolution 76/2025 repeals the previous regulation (Resolution 242/2022) and adopts the Argentine Regulation for the Investigation of Civil Aviation Accidents and Incidents (RAIAAC), approved by the Transportation Safety Board (JST) through its Resolutions 21/2025 and 23/2025.

This measure aims to ensure uniformity in the procedures for investigating aeronautical accidents and incidents, in compliance with Article 37 of the Convention on International Civil Aviation (Chicago, 1944). The adoption of RAIAAC also strengthens the independence of technical investigations and promotes the implementation of measures to prevent future incidents, without assigning legal responsibility.

Resolution 77/2025: Redistribution of internal functions within ANAC

In a second resolution, ANAC restructured key functions within its organization to improve operational efficiency. Among the most notable changes is the reassignment of tasks related to the publication and management of aeronautical information, which were previously handled by the Aeronautical Information Department (DIA) and the Directorate of Regulation, Standards, and Procedures (DRNYP).

These responsibilities will now fall under the Aeronautical Planning and Coordination Department (DPYCA), which is part of the Planning and Management Control Unit (UPYCG). The new functions of the DPYCA include:

    • Issuing and disseminating aeronautical information and cartography at the national and international levels.
    • Ensuring the integrity of published aeronautical data.
    • Actively participating in the exchange and updating of aeronautical publications.

These changes respond to the recommendations of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and aim to strengthen the criteria of effectiveness and efficiency in the management of civil aviation in Argentina.

Furthermore, the redistribution of functions seeks to improve coordination between ANAC's technical and administrative areas, facilitating the implementation of the agency's strategic objectives.

Both resolutions are already in effect following their publication in the Official Gazette. ANAC will communicate these modifications to the relevant parties and will continue working on adapting its processes to ensure compliance with international standards.
