United Airlines has announced an expansion of its international route network from Denver International Airport (DEN) for the Winter 2025/2026 season. The expansion includes the resumption of daily flights to Mexico City (MEX) and the launch of a new daily service to Punta Cana (PUJ), enhancing travel options for both VFR (Visiting Friends and Relatives) and leisure travelers seeking warm-weather destinations during the colder months.
According to data from aviation analytics platform Cirium, United’s current international presence from Denver includes a diverse list of destinations across the Americas, Europe, and Asia. These include Belize (BZE), Cancún (CUN), Cozumel (CZM), Frankfurt (FRA), Rome-Fiumicino (FCO), London-Heathrow (LHR), Liberia/Guanacaste (LIR), Montego Bay (MBJ), Mexico City (MEX), Munich (MUC), Nassau (NAS), Tokyo-Narita (NRT), Punta Cana (PUJ), Puerto Vallarta (PVR), Los Cabos (SJD), San José, Costa Rica (SJO), Edmonton (YEG), Regina (YQR), Vancouver (YVR), Winnipeg (YWG), Calgary (YYC), and Toronto-Pearson (YYZ).
The Chicago-based carrier is resuming service between Denver and Mexico City, a route already served by Aeroméxico and Volaris. United last operated this route in June 2018 using Airbus A319 aircraft. The returning service will operate as follows:

This route complements United’s existing services to Mexico City from major hubs including New York/Newark (EWR), Washington-Dulles (IAD), Houston-Intercontinental (IAH), Chicago O’Hare (ORD), and San Francisco (SFO), reinforcing connectivity between the U.S. and the Mexican capital.
New Service to Punta Cana
A significant addition to United’s Denver offerings is the introduction of a new daily flight to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic. This route will make United the only airline offering direct service between Denver and this popular Caribbean destination.
Flight UA 1699 will depart Denver at 09:45, arriving in Punta Cana at 18:18 local time.
Flight UA 1698 will leave Punta Cana at 14:05, landing in Denver at 17:50 local time.
Both the Mexico City and Punta Cana routes are scheduled to begin operations on October 26, 2025. The daily flights will be operated using Boeing 737-8 aircraft, configured with a total capacity of 166 passengers across three classes: 16 in Business Class, 54 in Economy Plus, and 96 in Economy. Known for its efficiency and comfort, the Boeing 737-8 will allow United to deliver a competitive and appealing service on these routes.
